Sacred Fascia Unwinding™ Practitioner Code of Ethics & Terms of Use

This document outlines the ethical standards and professional responsibilities for practitioners of Sacred Fascia Unwinding™ (SFU). By participating in this training and practicing SFU, you agree to uphold these principles. They ensure client safety, professional integrity, and a sacred, responsible practice.

Core Ethical Principles

  1. Respect and Compassion
Treat all clients with respect and compassion. Create and hold a safe, sacred space that encourages trust, openness, and a sense of safety.

  2. Professional Integrity
Only represent yourself according to your qualifications. SFU is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment, and practitioners must not claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or heal.

  3. Confidentiality
Client information and session notes must be kept private and confidential, in line with data protection laws (UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018). Exceptions include:

    • If a client or someone else is at risk of significant harm

    • Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elderly, or vulnerable person

    • Threats of crime

    • Medical emergencies

    • Court orders

  4. Boundaries and Consent
Always obtain informed consent before sessions. Respect client autonomy, physical and emotional boundaries, and comfort levels throughout the session. Romantic or sexual relationships with clients are strictly prohibited.

  5. Scope of Practice
SFU supports physical, emotional, and energetic awareness, but is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic care. Encourage clients to continue existing treatments and consult professionals before making changes to medications or healthcare routines.

  6. Safe and Mindful Practice
Use gentle, body-led techniques, and hold presence and attunement as a core part of your facilitation. Do not mix other modalities unless trained and competent. Work only with clients you are confident you can support safely.

  7. Professional Accountability
Maintain up-to-date professional insurance and your own terms and conditions for delivering SFU sessions. You are responsible for your practice and business. SFU and its training providers are not liable for loss of income, opportunity, or other indirect consequences.

  8. Ethical Marketing
Represent SFU accurately in all branding, marketing, and social media. Do not make misleading claims about outcomes, cures, or guarantees.

  9. Complementarity
SFU can complement other modalities, but its principles remain distinct: body-led movement, subtle energy integration, and sacred container holding.

  10. Legal Awareness
SFU should not be offered during legal proceedings without full disclosure. Practitioners should inform trainers of any potential legal situations that may affect practice.

Practical Guidelines for SFU Practitioners

  • Clearly explain the purpose and limits of SFU to all clients

  • Ensure informed consent is obtained before every session

  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times

  • Refer clients to healthcare professionals when needed

  • Observe client responses and adapt sessions safely and respectfully

  • Keep all records secure and confidential

  • Use the SFU modality as taught, following its principles thoroughly
